New Editor of Blog Herald a Pinoy Blog Overlord

Abraham Olandres or Abe, together with UK-based blog network Bloggy Network Ltd. has just acquired Blog Herald. Blog Herald is one of the most influential blogs that Blog Media now known as Problogging Inc. used to own.

Abe is one of the most popular Filipino bloggers and he’s the brainchild behind the various successful Pinoy group blogs - PinoyTechBlog, PinoyTravelBlog and PinoyUrbanBlog (PUB, where I blog, too).

Here’s a fragment of the welcome note of the new blog owners:

We appreciate that, being a very young blog network, we have much to learn, and we understand that running the Blog Herald is by no means a small feat, as many people look up to the Herald as a premier source of news and commentary on the blogging industry. We hope to keep up with the Herald’s tradition of high standards and interactivity, building on the foundations established by Duncan Riley and further refined by Problogging Inc.

Blog Herald, with its new owners, will definitely go to greater blogging heights. This I’m sure of because Abe, even with all of his great accomplishments in the blog industry, is definitely not one who sits on his laurels.

    Yes Alfa it’s good to see some Pinoy in form. Even Blog Herald’s top contributor is a Pinoy too.

    Your last name gave me a thought, that you might be a pinoy blogger. But didn’t asked you, cause might be invade of privacy.
