Link Building for SEO Dance

by SEO Dance

linkbuildingAside from the recent SEO contest I’ve joined, getting my SEO blog to show up in the first few pages of the SERPs is one of the most challenging SEO endeavor I’ve ever gotten myself into. Thanks to the one who chose my domain name SEO Dance, (Is it Chrispian?), this will be one hell of a roller-coaster ride. Haha!

One of the first few SEO steps I have accomplished is to try to get as many IBL (inbound links) directing to my blog. It’s one tried and tested method to get out of the sandbox.
Link building translates to building trust as how many SEO gurus would preach. Whether they call that getting trapped in Google algorithm’s quicksand a sandbox or trustbox, one thing is for sure, everyone needs to get out of the darn box!

Speaking of link building, I have read that you don’t need to hoard your Google juice or just about any search engine juice to do well in your search engine optimization, linking to sites or posting outbound links would help up the chances of getting your blog loved by the search engines, too. However, it was said that you can’t just link to any sites. It’s highly important to choose the websites you link to. They need to be one of those well-trusted, meaning high page rank (PR) sites. Wikipedia is one!

However, there’s an SEO experiment conducted byGraywolf regarding the power of outbound links. And the results contradicted the theory that linking out to high PR sites do help increase the PR of the site that’s the source of the outbound link. The experiment is incomplete according to Graywolf and I’d surely want to try it if I have time.

Anyone knows of any source of a similar SEO experiment with results that disagree with Graywolf’s?
